Endowment and Allocation
The Foundation’s resources consist of donations from supporters, provided in the form of cash, shares, or profit rights. These funds may be invested to ensure continued support for future projects.
Key Principles:
> We do not conduct active fundraising campaigns, though donations are gratefully received.
> A portion of the endowment may be held in a continuity reserve to ensure sustainable backing for research.
> The foundation aims to allocate annual investment returns to research aligned with our mission.
> If necessary, the Board may decide to draw upon the endowment principal.

The Spits Foundation adheres to a careful and transparent process when selecting research projects for support.
Supported projects must align with the foundation’s mission.
Recipients of support are chosen by the Board, with input from external experts if appropriate.
Each grant is awarded for a predefined period and scope.

The foundation is currently in its establishment phase and has yet to fund its first research projects. Once projects are supported, details will be published on this website.
